The Wisdom of Golf... at Lorca Golf Resort, Spain

It was an early rise for another great golfing day… we drove down, along the Costa Calida Coastline, a good half hour away, to Lorca Golf Resort, Spain…  We had an early start time, making sure we were ahead of others golfers wanting to play their round before the sun gets too hot…  The weather is really warming up now… its around 30 degrees… although during the mornings and evenings a strong cool wind blows, sweeping up everything in its path that is not properly grounded…

Lorca golf course is quite new and barren land, on the outskirts of the old city of Lorca in the middle of nowhere.  It is quite a hilly course, surrounded by rough mountains with massive ravines zig zaging across it… where many of my balls found their new home… Unlike Desert Springs, the land is bland and colourless, I felt lucky to come across these lovely wild purple thistles… The land felt good though… natural, wild and alive…  I felt that whoever had developed this land was connected to it and was working from his hearts desire…

 

Today both Tom and I were buzzing with a renewed sense of excitement, we were walking outdoors in yet another wonderful natural landscape and had another chance to play our very best game of golf… We would see later by our final score, just how calm and empty our mind remains … only focusing on our individual game in this beautiful moment… Oh what a day…

We were both playing well… we were relaxed, not power hitting the ball, but loosely gripping the club and allowing the club to lift the ball into action… oh we had some lousy shots, but understood that the ball either wanted to visit the sea-side and play in the sand or hug a tree and that was ok… we felt free from the end result, the score, which quite ironically mostly allowed us have a good score… 

Today’s interesting happening on the golf course was watching a tour of spanish cyclists cycling around the outskirts of the course, up and down the rough mountain terrain in a good tempo… the human machine driving tirelessly to get to the finish line with a feeling that he’d given it his all…

We were playing the last couple of holes before reaching the 19 for some nice refreshments… we felt invigorated, we had played the course in under 3 hours and our score was looking excellent…   So the day was still young… and we looked forward to diving in our pool and soaking up some more sun on this lovely Sun Day…

The Wisdom of Golf

 

24 years ago today Tom and I got together... a great reason to celebrate a few days in a lovely golf resort, Desert Springs, Almanzora, Spain...  The weather is warm but a little overcast, never mind... Tom and I have an early afternoon start time today to enjoy a nice game of golf and enjoy the beautiful scenery here in Almanzora... We've been here before, but I didn't remember just how beautiful it was.. Desert Springs, like the name reveals is a golf course right in the middle of Mediterranean desert land... It is nature at its very best... wild, colourful, prickly and raw...

       

Golf is where Tom and I come together and enjoy some quality time together.... we used to enjoy ballroom and latin dancing together, but since being in Spain we have spent more time outside walking on the many different golf courses... they are our walks in Spain's nature... We both vote desert springs as being one of the best golf courses in this region....

Vibrant colours sway in the breeze, bringing sensual, visual and aromatic experiences of wonder to the heart and soul... all adding to our happy golfing day...  It's never mattered to us whether we win or lose... from our own individual handicap... not that we don't always play our very best... but we understand that how we are inside, how busy or peaceful we feel, always reflects on our golf game... We practice and perfect our swing and just enjoy... especially being out in the sunshine and warmth...  (We hung up our rain clothes, warm gloves and hats when we left Holland)...

The game of golf has wonderful stories to tell the person who pays attention... about where the ball finds to lie, the long route it often takes to get to the hole, playing straight or curving right or left, how we focus and have patience on the green and even the people who join our game...  Each game we play shares some wisdom about our self and life... Golf helps us to grow...in wisdom...

We see the most interesting things... this beautiful unique 'coloured pencil fence' is such fun... I love colour... this says so much about the people living here...

After the long 18 holes, we enjoy a refreshing drink and delicious meal at the restaurant on the 19th hole... our celebration day is complete... we look forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary next year... somewhere outside of Spain... exotic in a natural way...

A Spanish Winter Holiday... on Mazarron Country Club... majestic serenity...

A calmness surrounds me as I wander through my homeland... the night is drawing in, the sun glimmers low in the east and as I look west, the moon makes her appearance... birds ahead of me are travelling south and I realise that winter is near... but... oh... such majestic serenity here on Mazarron Country Club...

We've had a glorious summer... filled with laughing and squealing children, merry chatter, swimming pool splashes and families reunited... Now a stillness surrounds us, new visitors have found their winter sanctuary here and we welcome the next cycle of nature... a time of  being indoors, slowing down,  unwinding, reflecting with our most inner self...

Looking back it's been a long and challenging time... many neighbours coming together to create 'betterment' for our homeland... but well worth every moment... our homeland stands NOW proud... with landscaped gardens, well maintained villas, planted and irrigated green areas, mature trees and flowers, tarmaced and painted roads, a new restaurant and an awful lot of happy people...

I return home and put on some soft lights, light the candles and snuggle up to my best hubby... the dinner simmers in the kitchen, the exotic smells fill the air and I stretch out my arm to taste a new spanish Rioja wine.  

In the morning I awaken to the most marvellous blue sky, the smell of coffee and bacon and the most amazing feeling of all... joy,  a feeling of innocent childhood... and I know the world is mine for the making...

Part of my time I manage luxury and homely villa's for a relaxed winter, summer, spring or autumn stay here on Mazarron Country Club... Costa Calida... a 10 minute drive away from the coastline that awaits exploration... and the Espuna Mountains inland... together with many many walking trails and inspiring sights in-between... not forgetting the great restaurants with mouthwatering food and wine at a very decent price...

21st September 2012... Celebration of the Autumn Equinox... SpiritualMurcia held their first Coffee Morning with a difference last friday morning on Mazarron Country Club in the community actiivities centre 13-1.  It was hosted by The Circle of Potential, a local circle of curious and open-minded people who are exploring beyond the mind and into unknown territories... They know, have a gut feeling about the New Potentials that are waiting patiently around each person... to be claimed... We had a lovely morning together.. local holistic therapists & creative artists, MCC owners and local like minded people... We created a swop table for everyone attending to recycle 'nearly new items' that they no longer need.. It was a great success and we will repeat this at our next coffee morning with a difference on 21st December... Venue will be in the mountains on Lynne's new retreat.. between here and Cartagena... SpiritualMurcia holds the vision of... Everyone healing naturally... Everyone living in joy and living and co-operating with neighbours in the community... We raised a nice some of 80 euros..with all our homemade cakes and donation box... SpiritualMurcia is a non-profit organization, covering its costs of website hosting/name and advertising costs.. the rest is given to local charities... this time we gave Amanda at MAD... 20% to put towards school books for the young ones in Mazarron... Thanks to everyone who joined... and made a difference to natural healing and the local community... 21st June...Summer Solstice...

Our circle of potential, here on the Country Club in Mazarron, Spain.. hosted a summer solstice meditation...

We joined a global 24 hr solar wave of confirming and sharing our intention of co-creating a new world... a peaceful and balanced world, here on Earth...  We felt total peace and felt that during the coming times it is important to remain calm, relaxed and focused on releasing inner issues... so that we can enjoy the moment and be able to express our heart's voice....

Only when we get into the drama and downward spiral of our human life, will we be stuck for words and be washed away with whatever, we as a society, decide by our actions...do...

We all have to remember, even if we are one person, with a positive, focused and creative expression... we can create a most loveable and joyous world around us... Remembering love and joy is so contagious...

Japan...you are in our hearts!

I have been meaning to begin a daily diary for a while now, there is a lot happening now in the world, a lot of chaos and it is my way of recording my observations to the happenings.... Last month the Earth yawned and fiercely erupted (magnitude 6.3) in Christchurch, New Zealand. Tom and myself have friends living there and only today received a message to say that they were safe and actually lived on the North Island! It just goes to show, just how well we know our friends!

The last few days I have watched in horror and sadness as we hear of the devastation caused in Japan... The Earth seems to be even more severe with an earthquake magnitude of 9.0. Again we have many ex-colleagues and friends living there and await replies to our emails. We have received some replies today and there families are safe. They explain that they feel so proud to be part of the Japanese culture that are going through this horrific catastrophe in such calmness and order. There is no panic and are all working together.

It just goes to show that the American and European Media is yet again scare mongering the whole world...they continue to dish out bad news by only focusing on the worst scenarios... Nuclear Meltdown... bla...bla,,,bla... No wonder the finanical market and economy is falling! So Barbara wants to say.... Media, give us all a break, balance the power and report some good stories and show the rest of the world just how the Japanese are coping and ready to build their country up again.... and just in case you weren't aware, we do create our reality and you're not helping to attract a happy outcome! It's about time more people wake up and join the 'lightworkers' who believe in the possibility of a positive outcome to our world!

Yes I'm a little crazy, but crazyness is what makes a difference! If you are interested in helping lessen the nuclear impact in Japan...


Meditation...
Start breathing deeply... imagine a giant figure of 8, the centre protuding from your solar plexis,
Breathe in, imagining the top part of the figure of 8 and that you are actually breathing in harmful nuclear air particles
and carrying the harmful energy down (breathing out) through your body and down to mother earth
where you and mother earth transform harmful energy into neutral energy
When you Breathe in again, finishing off the bottom part of the figure of 8
you bring the transformed potential energy back through your body and back into the world.

We can make a difference, simply imagine and breathe. Be a divine human who is co-creating our NEW EARTH!

Mazarron Country Club Gardening

It's been 2 years now since a few residents/non residents created a gardening club on the country club. We have many fund raising parties and many more gardeners... many more community areas are now pretty and we are all happy! It's all so great for a nice social life... everyone can make a difference! Mazarron Country Club - Neighbourhood Concern - Gardening

Each Sunday evening at 8pm residents and non-residents on Mazarron Country Club get together and spend an hour working the barren land. What once was neglected and weedy land, has become a colourful and lively site! And we are only focusing on the edges, before our developer HUMA finishes of his plan for the whole of our beautiful and peaceful urbanisation. You know what they say, like attracts like...Not only is mother earth singing but the neighbours too!

Our dedicated group have planned a BBQ to be held 15th July, a wednesday evening at 8pm at the MCC Restaurant La Taberna. 5 euros a ticket. All of the monies going toward planting more colourful plants, eye catching palms and laying membrane and gravel this coming Autumn.

Watch Mazarron Country Club, the vibrations of LOVE are strong! And it's contagious!
